Zeeland, Michigan is known for its charming small-town atmosphere, friendly community, and Dutch heritage. The city has well-preserved historic architecture, and its annual Tulip Time Festival celebrates the area's Dutch roots with vibrant tulip displays and cultural events. Zeeland also boasts parks, trails, and a strong sense of community, making it a welcoming place to live or visit.

A Few Words About Jacob Bonnema
A Strong Voice for Ottawa County
Jacob resides in historic, downtown Zeeland. He is an active member at Family Life Church. He is an Eagle Scout, active in politics, and an Elite Producer in the financial sector.
He is currently an independent commercial insurance agent for Ottawa Kent Insurance. Prior to his work in the insurance industry, he was President and CEO at Desert River Games LLC, and co-owner of Chuck Norris’s World Combat League.
He has served on numerous boards and committees that support the US Military, sports leagues, and urban development.
The Bonnema children attended Zeeland Public Schools. Jacob’s oldest daughter is adopted from Ethiopia and formerly worked at Gentex. His oldest son and daughter-in-law are full time missionaries based in Livingston, Zambia.
Two more sons attend Western Michigan University on full-ride football scholarships while pursuing degrees in Finance.
